This oil painting depicts a crashing wave on Flinders Rocks, which is located close to the Flinders Rock Blowhole. The artist has used a combination of blues, greens, and whites to capture the raw power and motion of the crashing wave. The rocks in the foreground are depicted in shades of gray and brown, with intricate details and textures that give them a sense of solidity and weight. The sky above is a muted blue-gray, with faint hints of sunlight. Overall, the painting is a stunning representation of the rugged beauty of the Australian coastline, and the powerful forces of nature that shape it.

This scenic location is known as the Flinders Rock Blowhole, its located on the Mornington Peninsula area of, Victoria, Australia

This painting is based on one of my painting trips down to the Flinders Area on the Mornington Peninsula.
The weather was fairly normal with slight swells making their way to shore, there were quite a few sight seers in the area as well.

NOTE: If you intend to visit this area where I painted this scene, do be aware that in stormy weather, these rocks get covered with very large rogue waves, and it is unwise to venture out onto them.
