Ramalon the Sumatran Tiger – Original Oil Painting for sale by Garry Purcell
I am an artist from Australia, and was drawn to Ramelons beauty and strength, and wanted to capture the power and nobility of this majestic Sumatran Tiger in a painting.
I used the highest grade of oil paint to bring out the vibrancy of Ramelon’s orange and black stripes, as well as his yellow eyes.
I believe this painting was a success, and Ramelon’s story lives on.
While I was visiting the Melbourne Zoo, I took a few photos of the Sumatran tiger enclosure, and transformed this image into an oil painting.

Creative short story featuring Ramalon the Sumatran Tiger
Ramelon was the majestic Sumatran Tiger and was born on the 26th of October 1995.
He had been living alone in the forest of Sumatra, since his family had been killed by poachers many years ago.
He was a powerful and noble creature, and his presence in the jungle was a source of awe and admiration to all who encountered him.
Every morning, Ramelon would wake up early and go out in search of food.
He would stalk his prey, silently and carefully, until the perfect moment to strike. With one swift and powerful leap, he would take down his prey and devour it in a matter of minutes.
Ramelon is a big cat that is also a master of camouflage. He could be completely invisible in the dense foliage of the jungle, and his formidable size and strength made him a formidable opponent.
